For specific information about getting appointments, home visits and other matters related to seeing your doctor, please read the information below.

Making Appointments at the Surgery
Although some routine appointments can be booked in advance, we ask you to telephone for an appointment on the day you require to be seen. Please bear in mind that the doctors work on a rota basis - therefore, if you have a preference to see a particular doctor and he/she is unavailable - you may be asked to telephone back on an alternative day when he/she would be available. The telephone number is 01606 544342.

We have made available some appointments which may be booked via our web-site. Before you can use this service you must first register on-line and to register you will need a registration form issued by the practice to you in person. If you now have your registration form, simply click on the button to the right.

There may be times when your problem can be solved with a telephone call. We have a triage system which enables you to speak to the most appropriate health care professional for advice i.e Practice Nurse, Health Visitor, Doctor etc

Consultation Times
We operate a full appointments system, Monday to Friday, between 8.30am and 5.40pm. Appointments may be made by telephone, between 8.30am and noon.

Telephone Advice
If you need advice please telephone the surgery . A note will be made of your call and one of the nurses or doctors will ring you back, normally at the end of their surgeries.

Home Visits
The Medical Centre has all the facilities needed for examination, investigation and treatment. It is in your best interests to attend the surgery if at all possible. Housebound patients should request visits before 10.00am. Home visit and urgent requests may be dealt with by a phone call from a doctor or triage nurse to assess the appropriateness and priority of the case. This could include advice only, attending an emergency surgery or a home visit.

Emergencies Outside Normal Surgery Hours
If you need the nights, evenings and weekends (N.E.W.) service (6.30pm - 8.00pm) telephone the main surgery number 01606 544342.

The Primary Care Centre (at Northwich Infirmary)

This is the place to see a doctor "out of hours" in an emergency. It is usually manned by local GP's, until 10.00pm. If you must see a doctor or obtain advice, phone in. A doctor is available to visit, when a patient cannot go to the PCC.

Outside normal hours it is very unlikely you will be seen by your own doctor. All duty doctors keep accurate records of every patient seen and details will be forwarded to your own doctor.
